Privacy

Your code is yours. Here's exactly what that means.

The plain-language version of how we handle your code and your data.

Last updated

The short version

  • Privacy mode is on by default. Your code and prompts aren't stored after a request completes.
  • Zero data retention with every model provider. Providers process your request and keep nothing.
  • Never used for training. Not by us, not by any model provider, not ever.
  • No ads, no data sales. Flintr is funded by backers, and by subscriptions after launch.

What we collect

To run your account and bill you correctly, we keep:

  • Your account details: name, email and sign-in method.
  • Billing details, handled by our payment processor.
  • Usage records for each request: which model, how many tokens and what it cost. These never include your code or prompts.
  • Crash reports and basic product analytics, which you can turn off in settings.

If you back the launch

Payments are processed by Stripe on its own checkout page, and we never see your card details. From Stripe we receive your name, email address, the amount you contributed and, only if you enter one, the name you want on the supporters wall. We use these to send your perks and development updates, and to process refunds. Email hello@flintr.ai to remove your name from the wall or to stop receiving updates.

If you turn privacy mode off

You can choose to share anonymised prompts and completions to help improve Tab. That data is never shared with third parties, never used to train other companies' models, and you can delete it from settings at any time. On Teams and Enterprise, admins can enforce privacy mode so it can't be turned off.

Your rights

You can export or delete your data at any time from your account settings. When you close your account, we delete your data within 30 days. For anything else, email hello@flintr.ai.

Our commitments don't depend on who owns us

Keeping your code private is one of the four commitments in the Flintr charter, which is written into our bylaws and transfers with the company if ownership ever changes.
